Default IL-2 ala Warbirds / AH Arena

S!

Just to give attention this neat server:

http://war-birds.com/

Basic idea is that you have large number of airfields scattered over the map, divided to red/blue equally at the start, and then you start conquering

Conquering is done thusly: Destroy over 90% field objects (includes AAA, tower, fuel, radar etc.) and the field goes to "closed" state. If now you bring and drop paratroopers on it, it is conquered, and changes colour. When the objects regenerate and there are less than 90% destroyed, the field pops back online, now to be used by the conquerers.

Fields have radars(can be destroyed) with about 10km scan range, and anything that is 100 - 5000m high can be seen on the "tower"(not inflight) map screen. So, radar operators are nice to have

The server has a rolling planeset that goes from 1939 - 1945 in about 3 realworld weeks. The server itself only resets when ALL the fields are conquered by one side, so a single war can go on for weeks/years. Depends on the efficiency of the conquering/defence of course

NOTE: The server is still in beta phase. So expect weird stuff (report it on the forums to help solve them), daily database wipes (pilot registering has to be done again) etc.
