Can't Activate Armoured Princess

So I installed the game, then the game asked me to enter the Serial number for the online activation which I did. However, the activation keeps failing with the error message: Automatic Activation failed or that the activation server is down or something.

Then I tried the manual activation. It directed me to a Starforce site entered the Serial number and Hardware code. However when I tried to get the Activation code, it gives an Error message with no error in it, that's right, just a bullet with no text in it. So I don't even know what I've done wrong. I'm one of those who hates the current DRM system in games and it's stuff like this that drives people nuts. I love Kings Bounty alot and would love to play AP soon. Is there a solution for that?
