You should backup your 1C directory before you patch it (if you don't, you will have no way to revert, and who knows what zaniess will happen with the stupid activation feature), but the patch works for Impulse versions.
I have the Crossworld's edition (not GotY or Platinum), just the upgrade when I bought Armored Princess from Impulse.
