Sorry for being a nOOb LOL
First Off, nobody should feel the need to apologize for being a noob.
It just means newbie, but on the wonderful world of the internet it's almost a cuss word!

We all have to start somewhere, don't we?

I'm on the same mission right now and having a fairly difficult time with it, (yes,i too play on arcade!) The wingmen are quite useless indeed, they take so long to make a kill, that i just keep ordering them, because i keep thinking my order didn't register..but,hey any and all help should be used,so i use them as much as possible!

Mostly the bomber squads (slower planes) and transport planes are being escorted by fighters. So,yeah you should check if there are any fighters, i can't remember if they are escorted in this particular mission..but the transports are easy to recognize since they always fly in squads. and have a yellow nametag or sign or whatever it's called. just check the names on the planes, watch for clusters and firewall them. the IL-2 also sports rockets, and while it's fairly hard to get a hit with them, when lined up perfectly,it's definetly possible to hit the transports with it (i managed to take out an entire squad with three rockets and a firewall ! Just spam the rocket button while you firewall with machineguns and ignore the groundtargets. I almost made it,but one squad keeps getting away!
