Well here we are July 1 - Guess I'll try several different space game recommendations:
Star Valor - 2d fun game
Astrox Impreium - 3d similar to Star Wolves but different in it's own way
Endless Sky - 2d again but this one is free on steam so give it a go and thank me later
OK let's see if the devs take the bait and either reply with an answer or ban me. Give me Ashes of Victory or give me death! - er um something like that, have a fun independence day all (you Americans)
