I consider it a blessing that I could never quite get the hang of it beyond HTML and Javascript
Setting up a server is relatively easy when compared to checking all the dependencies involved in some of the stuff I've seen. One guy I know pretty well was programming in C++, couldn't properly configure a table in a certain proprietary app' he was working on, so he overlayed another table over the one in the GUI and made the CPU loading rather excessive on all but the fastest machines in the office. Hey what was I going to say- his boss was OK with it
Yes obsessive is a characteristic of some programmers, but not really a bad thing I say. Perfectionist may be more appropriate.
