I know how a lot of people feel about this mission – after several fairly easy missions this one comes along and “BAM”, it’s 10 times harder! I have spoken to many pilots on line and basically it comes down to this - skill, the seasoned pilots get on their targets and take them down rapidly and move onto the next wave of bombers with no screw-ups, the IL 2 that your flying is so slow that if you have to break off and chase down just one run away bomber you will run out of time, you might as well restart and try again – don’t even bother to continue. I am new to flight Sims and it took me a good part of yesterday to beat this mission, good thing I was off for Labor Day! I also read the great advice above from Soviet Ace (Thanks by the way Ace) which helped tremendously. Don’t worry, you’ll get it, just remember it is all about speed and precision…and the bright side of all of this is that when you do finally beat this mission – you
will be a better pilot!
