their are roughly 4 mossies that are being restored to flight worthy. ONE was due to be shown at this years classic air show in new zealand, making it the first flying mosquito sine the crash in 96. Unfortunately it didnt happen, but it should be flying VERY soon
Also their is another currently under restoration at Victoria Air Maintenance at Victoria International Airport and is not far at all from becoming air worthy again, vry very close infact.

I'm not at all suprised actually. Once the last of anything that special is gone but still replacable, People will go that extra bit further to have it and see it again. Even if it takes much time, effort and a whole lot of money.
