Most times I look at the custom controllers out for games and think, why would I want to pay that much for a slightly different look, but this one actually improves on the existing 360 controller. The underside of the controller is a natural place to put a pair of buttons, after all when you hold the controller you have 3 fingers per hand essentially doing nothing while your index finger has 2 buttons to press and your thumb has an analogue stick and either the D-pad plus BACK or 4 buttons plus START to control at the same time. This goes for both the 360 and PS3, and consequently most third party controllers too.
If I was designing a controller, I would move the Lb(L1) and Rb(R1) down here on trigger like projections, allowing the triggers and shoulder buttons to be controlled independantly, which would allow more important functions to be controlled by the shoulder buttons and thus leave the thumbs with less things that would take them off the all important analogue sticks, giving better control. This is however a very good compromise and would definitely make looking around with the cockpit view in Birds of Prey easier, if the new Action 2 button was assigned to replace the click down right analogue stick button.
Some of the other stuff shown there would also be nice to have. I wouldn't mind the new mouse or the 360 headset either, if reasonably priced, because they look like they function better than what I already have and I hate the current over-the-head 360 headset and don't like the wireless version either.
