There are definitely adapters out there. I have several that I got with my Rock Band instruments.
That being said...
They will not work with the X4's. Unfortunately the X4's require power from the 360 controller, which is why they use the puck. If you look at the puck on the X4, you will notice that they actually have some metal contacts on them.
I personally made a power pack to use with mine, since I normally game with the chatpad connected, and I also wanted PS3 compatibility.
I previously made an arcade stick from a standard controller, and I removed the puck style headset port from that board. I stuck it into a small project box, and use 2 AAA batteries to supply the power. It has worked extremely well, and the power drain on the batteries is very low, so it lasts quite a while.
That being said... It really isn't a viable option for most, and most likely the real answer to your question is...
Your out of luck with the X4's and the Aviator.
