A, B, X & Y = 1, 2, 3 & 4
LB & RB = 5 & 6
Start & Back = 7 & 8
LS & RS = 9 & 10
D-Pad = POV Hat
Right Stick = X & Y Rotation
The Throttle & Rudder (LT & RT) = Z Axis (I do question the functionality of all those being on Z, but they do register differently on the representative analog bar)

Sounds good to me. I have a 360 controller plugged into my laptop to play Il2 and I was able to come up with a workable set of controls using exactly the same buttons as are showing up there for you. I was using something called the Pinnacle game profiler, which let me map several functions to the same button, for example bombs and the brake were both on the Lb because there is no clash between these functions.
For me it would be worth getting an Ace Edge, because I don't have a good PC flight stick and the Ace Edge seems like a pretty good deal if I can use it with both 360 and PC.
