I did some trawling around the internet for a couple hours and found a solution
I opened up mycomputer, rightclicked and did 'search' and basically searched the disc for an A.exe when then allowed me to install.
So im thinking its alright now (as i see the installation menu and all the rest of it)
EDIT : the thing about a Dud Dvd writer is interesting though, because I had a virus that wiped my DVD writer from processing discs so i had to reinstall windows. so its not always because the dvd writer is fubar'd |
I would have suggested this method but I thought your computer wasn't showing the disk...you said it kept spinning. Glad you sorted it out...
