actually you coudnt because you need the other track to counter steer. for example if the left track broke and you wanted to turn right your right track would turn correctly but you wouldnt have grip on your left one because theres no tension. you would simply roll off your left track.
but if you were on a street street with pavement you probably could even drive straight a few meters because you can still roll on your support wheels but you couldnt really turn.
