In my experience I've only overreved when I was at maximum throttle in a high speed dive. If you throttle back it won't happen.
Mind you that stops my old favourite power dive at 110% MW50 engaged diving episodes that netted me several La-7s dead back in the early days of IL-2 Forgotten Battles. The La-7 used to be uber but it could never dive with a FW190D-9 running full out
