I tried this fix, but I was not able to duplicate the exact same settings as my system would not do the same refresh rates on the monitor etc... What I'm really wondering is if Atari makes any products that actually work out of the box when you buy them.. I had some serious issues with the game "The Witcher" recently too. Atari still has yet to respond to that E-mail, so I guess I know how they feel about customer service.

My copy of Kings Bounty installed fine, no issues there. I also D/L'd and installed the 1.6 Atari patch, that also ran fine. When I start the game, that runs fine. I can get into all of the settings menus and that sort of thing. However, when I click on "New game" and go through those screen's, everything runs great until it loads the first screen of the actual game. Then, it runs for about 2 or 3 seconds, the screen goes black, the cursor becomes a red circle with a red slash mark through it, then the screen flashes several times and my whole system re-boots. My system meets the requirements to run the game, I went through and updated all of the drivers a couple weeks ago when I was struggling with "The Witcher" trying to get that to run. So... Anyone seen this before? And/or know how to fix it? I was going to try to run it without the patch tomorrow and see if that helps any. I get tired of un-installing and re-installing, but it would be nice to play the game once!

I wanted to post the copy I have of my directx info, but it says the file is larger than what is allowed in here.

Brucifer...
New question... I noticed in my directx info that I have version 10, not 9.0c as I had thought. So I D/L'd and installed 9.0c only when I run dxdiag to verify the version, it still says I have version 10. Do I have to delete version 10 first and re-run the install program for 9.0c? Does anyone know if the game has an issue with version 10?
