I didn´t understand - what should I search the logfiles for? Do you think that there might be a hint regarding the sound problems?
Another sound problem occurs when using Zerock´s rockfall: when the stones come down the sound also appears "cut". Is this a bug?

update 25/01: now I really don´t get it: I installed Kings Bounty on a completely different pc (Core 2 Duo E8500, Geforce 280 GTX, Audigy 2 Soundcard) - and I am having the same sound problems - especially with Zerocks Rockfall ability. So either nobody really paid attention to this until now or my game is bugged (although I installed the current patch - 1.7).
