I'm still running my 8800gt in SLI and I've very pleased with it. Can't complain about the price tag either.
I want to go to a single card ASAP but I think I will take a pass on this refresh.
The GTX 300 is rumored to be coming out as well and it will be a sigifigant change from the current G200 offering
