Don't give up just yet. This 320.xx series of drivers has been nothing but trouble. A lot of people have problems. Some have problems with voltage spikes, some with random crashes, some even say they kill GPUs.
Can't you restart in safe mode and revert to the last driver?

If you decide to upgrade the card, don't pay $400+ for a 670. The new 770GTX is out and it's a lot more potent for about the same money:

the GTX 770 is similar in performance with the older 680, so is not worth getting the 670 for the same money.
