The artwork depicts Frederick the Great, also known as Old Fritz. It is also a reference to group commander oberstlt. Fritz Graumintz, who ordered the artwork painted on 1G+BB when the aircraft was based at Hannover Langerhagen. It was later flown by Paul Hollinde at Gablingen near Augsberg.
