I should have pointed out that the way I outlined was for off-line. I have used this occasionally for checking my flying in the hope of improving.
I wonder if your disconnects are just due to flakey code or something to stop any 'cheating' by jumping out and changing something?
All would be so much easier if we just had a key binding to toggle recording on/off.
