We will only be able to change the maps when we get user tools to do so. these were supposed to have been released by now, but have been delayed. Hopefully we will see them around the time of release of the sequel.

Yes, I absolutely take your point, the old and new will be merged however I assume that those who aren't prepared to pay for the sequel still get to play CLoD, for the simple reason that they've already paid for it. People being people I'm sure some won't be prepared to buy the sequel. My point is that by creating a 'second front' in Russia, you essentially create a whole new game because CLoD will still be available to play. Clearly most will happily move on to the new Russian theatre but some will stay put I suspect. Allowing that group to break formation is in my view a mistake. Instead of encouraging people to purchase new content by exposing them to the consequences of not buying it (eg having to fight a FW 190 or Bf 109 F in a Spit I or II) you end up creating two separate fronts and as a consequence you potentially encourage the development of two distinct communities. How is that good for anyone?
