It seems now you have to actually sign up before you're able to do anything. And I don't even want to try that (besides the obvious, now-forced reason) because I believe one gets lost in the categories labyrinth that came on the site anyway.

Well done you for venting on another forum where under normal circumstances I would never see your post. It would have been more useful for you to tell me directly how you feel by posting on our forum. I guess when you buy a bad burger you complain to the shoe shop?
Airwarfare.com is a W.I.P. (New today, groups for special interests and one click login via facebook.)
Registration is not forced, if you arrive via a link you can navigate freely (Try the links in my sig).
Slow loading time should be a one off as page content is downloaded after that site should be quite nippy.
I don't understand your problems with the categories as they are navigable from a single page or from a drop down menu, nothing could be more simple.
At this stage the entry page will not allow me to make the menu visible to guests and today I have been trying various solutions. I have one possibility and will be trying it out tomorrow.
I am simply trying to offer members the option to become more involved with the site as for it to survive it needs to be more than just a stall for drive by downloaders who grab everything, contribute nothing and then whine when they can't have their way.
Thankfully the existing membership have shown more patience and you are just the minority.

Does anyone know another competent CoD DL site?

Good luck finding one anytime soon. CoD at this level of development with the length of time taken to resolve issues will not inspire many to make an investment in time and money to build anything long lasting and useful over the long term. That is what airwarfare will offer if you give us a little time to build everything just right. Two weeks - for real
