Since we was posted to France Tangemere Pilots have had many online adventures.
The thinking was that we would fly the Battle of France Campaign(a fantastic effort from our mission builders,litterally every week brought a new surprise,and i for one loved flying the Hurribus) then maybe go on and fly DAH DAH DAH!!!!!!
THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN in Cliffs of Dover!!
Although we all hope that one day this will live up to what is expected for the 40+Online pilots of Tangmere at the moment it falls short(You have never met me,that takes a lot for me to say!!!)
Although actually the battle lasted weeks,we would have flown it for months and months,flying all types of a/c and missions,with no doubt some "funnys"thrown in for good measure.
Since my last post i volunteered for No333 Squadron(Banff Wing temporaly)and like a few other Tangmere Pilots asked for special duties,i know,i know being ex Army "you never volunteer for nuffing!!!!"
But as stated before we fly our"Campaign Missions on a Sunday night,21:00 very sharp!! before that we tend to fly a d/f server and guninelly have a laugh when our Trg Instructor crashes into imaginary trees!!!
Anyway any anyway as i was saying,i volunteered for this"SPECIAL DUTIES" and after the special duties Flt carried out there Recce Flt somewhere in Norway,photos provided to the the rest of the Wng, little did i know that i would be asked to lead the WHOLE Tangmere Wing in on an OPS night!!!
Had to give the C.O a set of of orders,flight plan,height,weather route in etc etc etc!!!
Thats because i volunteered,you wont be expected to(unless you want to ) im normally Blue2 ie wingman to a bloke called No1 Charlie,hes ok as far as ldrs go but hes normally stuck in "traffic" or on face book talking to.... ER ooops sorry Charlie!!!!!
Thats how The Tangmere Pilots work,A good laugh with mates(and i have met quite a few over the last 3 odd yrs ive been with this lot) when we can,ie trg on a tues and d/f on sunday(not to mention the COOPs on a friday night, i cant seem to make them as im normally out
)

Ive got to say,ive downloaded missions from the net that people rave about but they are seriously nothing compared to what our"boffins" bang out week after week,and whats more 90% of them are historical,as are our campaigns
