Nope, they're nothing like the car manuals with their step-by step disassembly and reassembly, and I too was a little disappointed because there are better technical books on the 109. However, as SKUD has mentioned, there is some interesting, unbiased info on 109 handling characteristics.

I also have the Dam Buster's Manual which is an interesting guide to the weapons and tactics used by 617 Sqn during WW2.
