for 775 they are
new egg does Not even list them, the cheapest i found for a 775 core 2 quad was $142 for a Intel Q8400 Core 2 Quad 2.66, if you want to get into the 3GHZ range it will be close to $400
so EL is right...time for a new MB.
P.S about $170 and u have a new MB and qaud core EL
