I think both are in German but at least you can experience the missions.
About the AI...since the new alpha patch I didn't see any of the crazy barrel rolls anymore. I have CTDs with the demo like some other people but they also appear in the stock CloD missions...so I'm pretty certain it is the patch causing it.
