I am currently not at home and tried the patch with my laptop. I have the same problem with my laptop (specs below).
The game starts just fine, but when I want to do the actual flying it switches back to the desktop with the game sound present in the background. I can press commands like open canopy without any problems (I HEAR that the plane opens the canopy, switches to exterior view and so forth) but as I said I am at the desktop
There is a small black rectangle in the upper left of the desktop. When I press Escape I am back in the Main menu like normal.
Besides that I cant see planes/pilots/maps in the preparations screens. The parts in which the plane/pilot or the map should be seen its just black.
