Ahh, Fighter Pilot - don't know how many hours I've spent with that old game in the mid-80:ies. The most impressive thing is that the trusty Spectrum only managed to pull something like 4 fps while running those simplistic graphics (if I dare call those vectors that) - and no one complained! I recently fired up my old speccy (my father found it on the attic) and booted Fighter Pilot. Had to use a cable from the sound card of my PC with a downloaded "recording" as could not find a working MC player (have the orginal tape so no accusing of pirating please!). After "flying" that game with the mushy rubber keys of the Spectrum for a few minutes you get some perspective on how good our current games really are
