You seem to have made all the preparations you need by backing up your data and downloading new drivers.

Nothing really to add to that. I moved to Win 7 64-bit from XP last year and it all went very smoothly. Windows 7 is fairly good at installing drivers automatically, but you will have to manually add a few bits and pieces I'm sure once you have the basics in place.
