Alright.
I did manage to figure out what the airspeed values represented, however. I now have much more manageable cruise speeds. The AI still seem to climb like rockets because they "know" the best climb rate at any speed, but once the max alt is reached, I no longer have to fly at full power to keep up
This was not a big problem for the European planes, but in the Pacific, this was ridiculous.
