It is a bit fragile. I have a fairly heavy-build set of headphones, Medusa surround sound, which I bought for the surround sound and because the headset cable is reasonably strong, about 4mm dia (I have a graveyard of headphones with thin failed cables). The Pro Clip clips onto the headband above the left earphone and I use black domestic tiewraps to tie the Pro Clip cable to the headphone cable. The headset hangs on a hook when I'm not using it and I handle it carefully when I put them on/off. In short, treat it with care and it will be ok. Yes, that spindly piece of molding used to flip off if I knocked it but black insulating tape is my friend.
