There was never a doubt these arcade sims communities were huge in comparison to the IL-2 series. There is some doubt as to whether these arcade sims will provide enough realistic options to draw members of the IL-2 community. I thought Wings of Prey came very close but failed, hopefully WarThunder will be better. Like you say these sims are a gateway for some to the more realistic IL-2 series, but I'm hoping they become more of a competitor, realisticly speaking.
