Once a plane catches fire one if four things should happen shortly after that.... either the pilot should bail, the plane should go in or continue on straight and level indicating a dead or wounded pilot or it should explode. Whatever else it does it should definitely not continue to fly and shoot for several minutes after the fire started... Japanese planes were known for their flammability yet I have set them on fire and had them continue to fly.... It would really go a long long way to make these changes if it is possible without too much work and implementing it in the final patch for the sim.

Also .... is it possible that perhaps a few of the features made available by the modders.. particularly the default skin changes, could be added to the final patch. From my take on it... if they can do that with their resources then surely you could make that possible being the keeper of the code so to speak.

I look forward to SoW...
Oleg has mentioned somethings about improved AI. Possibly he will spend some time on AI performance or at least get some competent people involved with it.

Human Behavior can be simulated pretty darn close. There is always the aspect of irrational behavior, but if a plane is burning you would think the pilot would not have alot of choices to make. Afterall, burning up should be a pretty strong motivator.

The AI in IL2 wasn't bad when I first started with IL2, but then I became experienced with the sim. LOL
