BTW BlackSix ... the screenshot of the russian village shows only wooden houses. I am a plastic modeller and I have seen numerous photos showing rural houses with chalk-white brickearth walls and a straw roof. I wonder if this was something common or limited to a certain geogeaphical area. No biggie, but simply obvious in its absence from said screens.  |

These houses are typical for the western and central parts of Russia.
What you say, is typical for the Ukraine and southern regions. If we do these maps - there will be other houses.
