I forgot to mention, the Gunsight video relates to IL1946 and the sights were non adjustable. In CloD you can adjust the cross - hairs.

Under the Gunsight you will see two rings which enable you to set the cross -hairs to match your guns convergence and the wing span of the unlucky blighter in them.

If you set all your guns to converge at 180m (in the loadouts menu) then you need to set adjust your crosshairs to match at the start of each flight.

The uppermost ring should be rotated to match your convergence. You can do this using the mouse, the keyboard assignments, etc. You will see the distance displayed on the screen in yds (180m is approx. 200 yds) so rotate the dial till you see that figure on screen.

The lower ring is for the wing span of the ac you are targetting. Once again you need to adjust this ring by rotating it - eg, A Dornier Bomber has a wingspan of around 60ft and Bf109 around 32ft.

Adjust according to your target - when it is wing tip to wing tip between the crosshairs your target is at the optimum convergance when your ordinance will hit.

Bear in mind the following, you generally need to open fire before optimum convergence depending on your closure rate and, in MP, you need to account for ping/Lag as well as your closure rate.
