I think the idea of a community manager is to consolidate all of the feedback and bugs from the community as i am sure the Devs do not have the time to filter through all the useless crap
It's a great idea. Every game needs one or two or a few communiy managers, the community is the single most important catalyst for a sucessfull game series.
