I have no reason to disbelieve what he says, it sounds reasonable to me and who are you to decide how he compared his results? I think you're getting too worked up about this and reading far more into it than is there. I call BS on the numbers for the simple reason that it is way too big a jump for a driver upgrade and the other responses corroborate.

assuming I'm just trying to be a dick about it and I'm not. I think we're all smart enough to figure out the disparity is from other things than a magical 800% jump in frame rate from a driver update so I felt no need to expand on that just to cushion yours or the OP's sensibilities. I'm sure he's a big boy and can take it without getting butthurt and I know you have the best intentions to shield him.
