I worked at the Imperial War Museum Duxford in conservation and had the pleasure of working for many months on the B-24 that now stands in the American Air Museum there.
One of the most pleasurable parts of the job was chatting to the veterans who came to the hangar to see the work being done on the various aircraft.
I was always in awe of these extraordinary gentlemen.
