Land Detail will affect how far the game will "paint" terrain. If set to Low distance terrain will be flat and smeared out.
I'm playing at 2560x1440 and I can confirm that the res is taking a big bite out of my frames. If I lower to 1920x1080 I get like 10-15 more frames but like David says, the game gets all blury.
Hopefully the official patch will give us back the 10% the beta took plus perhaps give us a couple of more on top of that. That would make my game run at +35 avg. If that happens I'll be flying more than hanging here.  |
Maybe I'll give that shading a try. I sure don't need it until I'm down in the weeds as they say but if you don't notice it and it helps why not
