digital download is one thing...but being locked into to steam is another...theres no third party that can shut down our 1946 server whether there is a problem or not...if a server on HL has a problem it does not take all the other servers with it.

not being able to give/sell my game when i am done with it just means i didn't buy it i was renting at a deeply discounted rate.

i was indifferent to steam (i had RO on steam) but now i am beginning to see the posibilty for this to turn ugly for the consumer...Steam is a business and as such there bottom line is all that matters and they already have the lions share of the market i can see them in the future introducing a $1.95 monthly service fee for new accounts...why? because they can .because they have the lions share.

I dont mind the DDL but i don't want Tobe locked to the same company.
Now all that being said it does not matter what anyone here thinks....the matter is out of our hands...we are just along for the ride
