Actually it sounds like a TIR tracking problem. Go into your TiR software and move your head around to the extents which you normally would in-cockpit. If you get occasional red dots that means something is interfering with proper tracking and will cause the symptoms you describe.
Sometimes the cause can be a reflection at a certain time of day or the glint of metal from something you're wearing but often enough it's just tracking dots that overlap each other from the cameras point of view or going off axis. In this case you may want to reposition your clip or the camera to give a better view all around or consider speedin up your profile so that you don't go past the extents of the cameras visible boundary.
If it's not TIR related it could be a memory issue but hard to tell from here. They lowering your visual settings in game to test if it happens still.
