1.Set windows sound scheme to on
2.Go into COD, and map a function say like flaps etc to your keyboard, if you hear the ding or noise from windows sounds then its not working properly still.

OR

Take a video of the start up slash untill the main menu. I used fraps and it recorded the black and white stripe screen after the reticle splash screen. This also shows it isnt in proper fullscreen.

OR Video the game menus it just wont work for me

Below is what i get if i try the video the games start sequence. Fullscreen is not fixed. i think you will see this if you just try any of those things above.

Full screen works but only where it really needs to. That is, the interface is probably just a stretched window, but once the 3d rendering kicks in it gets to full screen mode.

I have an Ati GPU (the MSI cyclone 4890 1GB) which had the usual issue of not throttling up, so i confirmed it by logging the clock speeds with GPU-Z: if it gets to the maximum speeds then it must be running in fullscreen mode. On the release version it was stuck at 240Mhz, then a few patches later it got to 500Mhz, now it properly throttles up to 850Mhz like in every other game i run.

I can also see this in the FMB, when the map is zoomed out the cooling fan is nice and quiet, but as soon as i zoom in close enough for the map to switch to a 3d render it picks up speed just like it does in all other games when the clock speed is automatically increased by the driver.
