I am not the sort of person who can hide £5 a week from my wife, she is not dumb and I am not clever enough.
As for letting her know I am saving £5 a week with her knowledge that would never work either as she would probably spend it when I am not looking. Cheap on eBay or wait till I have her feeling guilty for something, that is usually my way.
