Some more information and a correction on my part.

It appears that Airfix got it wrong, in that N3029 was originally with 66 Squadron and eventually was attached to No. 61 OTU Squadron. It may have been a simple typo error that it ended up as 610.

DW-K was attached to several airframes as below.

DW-K serial number N3289 and was flown by P/O John Kerr Wilson when 610 Squadron was based at Biggin Hill, and DW-K was shot down and the pilot killed in N3289 on 25.9.1940 over Dunkirk.

DW-K, serial number X4067 piloted by Sgt S.J. Arnfield served at Biggin Hill and destroyed one aircraft before the Battle of Britain and two Bf 109Es on 18th of August 1940. On 24th August 1940, at 08:50hrs, Arnfield was shot down by a Bf109 of JG51 off Ramsgate.

Spitfire DW-K P9495 was written off after damage sustained in a fight with a ME 109 on 12th August 1940. I'm not sure who was the pilot of P9495.

Spitfire X4102 DW-K was flown by P/O D.M. Gray...August 24, 1940. It was shot down on this day and the pilot was wounded.

It gets confusing, as the squadron insignia DW-K was attached to more than one airframe. The ground crews must have been busy with the paint!!
