one thing i see that was not listed was a power supply..if you are running XP right now i have a feeling your current PSU will not be enough to power the video card you have chosen.
and if your trying to get in at around $1000 just make a post saying "build me a rig for a $1000" trust me you will get alot of choices and a really nice system in the end. my rig (see Sig) cost me right around $500
if i had a $1000 to spend i would have a smoking fast rig
