I'd go i5 and use the extra $100 towards your graphics card..you won't regret it for games..
For the MOBO read the Hard OC review of the MSI P67A-GD65.. After I installed everything I booted it up with fingers crossed.. entered BIOS, loaded Defaults.. then installed my Win 7 64 Bit OS (I'd recommend it.. you can get it for about $99 at New Egg)
Once I was done.. I shut down the PC, opened the case and pressed a button on the board that lit a little LED.. closed case and rebooted.. it automatically OD'd my system to a safe 4.2 Gigs without ever having to touch a BIOS option.. Very very easy.
