You are right I should not compare those two.
I haven't played Wings of Prey ever so I shouldn't comment on that either but by looking at the gameplay videos to me it looks that Wings of Prey looks much better in terms of ground detail.
However Interiour of planes / planes taking damage / water, clouds and little details such as windows freezing, steaming etc CoD might look better.
