Good point, the amount of work (and love) that goes into maintaining these gorgeous old birds is astounding. One plane that never ceases to amaze me is the ol' reliable DC-3. I mean, she aint much to look at, but several examples are still working the line and turning a profit for their owners. Not as pampered museum pieces, but actually making money at the task they were originally designed for some 75 years ago. Talk about tough.
