Salute
Glad to see Jason posting here.
I hope everyone who is interested in seeing a vibrant flight sim hobby thinks carefully and realizes that creating these programs is very expensive and demanding, and doesn't return a lot on the investment.
So before anyone tries to start up a "this versus that" flamewar, they should realize it is in everyone's interest to support ANY flight sim which comes out.
I have bought every single flight sim which has been published in the past 15 years, and will be purchasing any new one which comes out. (in fact I buy multiple copies of the sims which I am particularly impressed with)
Some of the flight sims which are published are more successful, others less, but without our support, there will be very little reason for the designers and developers to risk their time and investment.
And if no one is willing to take the risk, we will have no hobby.
When I consider the huge number of hours of enjoyment I have gotten from IL-2 and RoF, (and many other sims) and I divide those hours to the cost of the sims, they are the best bargain to be had in the entertainment field... compare the dollar value per hour to any other entertainment, film, TV rental, dining out, beer....

etc. etc. and you realize flight sims are a huge bargain.
Think about it.
