LOL ... I just logged into my boostep account to see the same message.

This is hilarious.

"Due to a failure in the manufacturing of several components for IL2: Cliffs of Dover
I am sorry to inform you, that Ubisoft not will be able to deliver this product as
requested and furthermore we will not start up the manufacturing again."

UBI: That's a pathetic excuse.

I've dealt with major product releases in the banking world for years (i.e. new bank accounts / credit products etc.) It's very easy to source an alternative supplier of materials to get your product out. You simply pick up the phone or type on your keyboard and get expressions of interest to supply you with the materials you need. Hell we've even sourced manufactures for promotional material from China and India for goodness sake. Yes you may be delayed, and yes it's embarrassing, but as matter of professionalism, heart and intestinal-fortitude, you'd do what ever it takes to get the product out. It's all about professionalism; this statement is purely a financial cop out in my eyes, nothing more.

Edit: WTF: I just contacted EBGames Australia. I confirmed the CE edition is available for pre-order $109.95 but there's no release date set. It's not listed on the customer web site at the moment but they have it listed internally and the guy said I could pre-order it today.
